Falkville Robotics Camp |
| PHS Robotics sponsored a week long day camp for elementary students at Falkville elementary school this past summer. During robotics week, the students learned principles of engineering throughout the day and built robots during the camp. Also, the students participated in team building activities and explored marketing strategies. The campers each recieved a robot they made at the end of the week along with an award for participating in the camp. The team raised almost $800 through this educational outreach fundraiser. |
HALO Tournament |
| On August 11th PHS Robotics held it's 2nd annual HALO Tournament in the gym of the school. This event was open to everyone, and was a great success. Players competed in a bracketed tournament on team deathmatch and free for all. Spectators were invited to play DDR and Guitar Hero while they waited. This fundraiser brought in almost $200 to get the season started. |
Mars Party |
| On August 26th members of the team held a Mars Party to celebrate the unveiling of this year's task. Everybody watched Mars Attacks and refreshments were sold. This was a lot of fun for everyone who attended, and we hope to have a similar event next year. |
Car Show |
| PHS Robotics sold funnel cakes and lemonade the Priceville's annual Cruise In Car Show. This was a great way to raise funds and get the word out about PHS Robotics. Thanks to those who purchased food items. |
Car Wash and Bake Sale |
| PHS Robotics' 2nd annual Car Wash has come and gone. It was held September 22nd from 8AM - 12PM at the Priceville Volunteer Fire Department. Tickets were sold for $5.00 per vehicle and donations were also accepted. The tickets were purchased through robotics member, customers were also able to pay at the Car Wash. In addition to the Car Wash there was also a bake sale. Cookies, cakes, and other goodies were sold. A total of $450 was raised at this event. Thanks to all who participated. |
Dodgeball Game |
| PHS Robotics' 2nd annual Faculty vs. Seniors dodgeball game was on September 27th, during homecoming week. This event was fun, as it always is. The Seniors beat the defending champion Faculty and walked away with the victory. Even though the faculty unveiled they're new secret weapon, Coach Dilbeck, and brought back last year's MVP, Coach Arbet. |
Elementary Robotics Club |
| On October 3rd, the Presentation Team gave an informative presentation to the Priceville Elementary Robotics team. This group of 3rd through 5th graders compete in First Lego League, a robotics competition for younger students. The goal of the presentation was to educate these students about BEST and what they can look forward to if they join PHS Robotics in the future. |

| On November 8th, the Presentation Team presented to the Priceville Town Council. Mayor Melvin Duran formally recognized PHS Robotics for acheivements at 2006 South's BEST and 2007 Tennesee Valley BEST. |

| This year the Outreach Team constructed a float for the 1st annual Priceville High School Homecoming Parade. Several robotics members rode on the float and threw candy. This was a great way to get the word out about PHS Robotics. |

| PHS Robotics and Jr. Civitan co-sponsored a Sadie Hawkins dance on November 3rd. This event was a huge success. Volunteers donated chili and a DJ provided music so that students could get their "jive" on. |
Rotary Club |
| On November 28, the presentation team went to Barnhills Restaraunt to present to the Rotary Club of Decatur. This was a great chance to tell people about BEST and we thank them for inviting us. |
